COLONIE - Sharon D. (Murphy) Williams, 62, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.
Sharon was born on April 8, 1946 in Syracuse and was the daughter of the late Andrew L. and Cora M. (Niles) DeWolf. She worked as an analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Latham for 19 years, after which she worked at Fillpoint for 3 years. She was a generous and caring woman who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her loving children, Allen (Tiffany) Van Cleef of Clifton Park, Andrew (Karen) Van Cleef of Clifton Park, Jennifer Archambault of Schenectady and Joseph Murphy of Watervliet; her cherished grandchildren, Morgan Van Cleef, Brandon Van Cleef, Zachary Van Cleef, Breanna Archambault and Arianne Van Cleef; her sister, Linda Van Cleef; two nephews, Carl and Robbie Van Cleef; several stepchildren and many loving cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandson, Robert Archambault.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the springtime at East Newark Cemetery in Newark, NY.
