Sharon A. DelGiacco, 75, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2023 at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, New York.
She was born in Albany, New York on June 17, 1947 to Anna (D'Alba) LaChance. She relocated to Schenectady where she raised her family.
Sharon was a breast cancer survivor. Her strength, spirit, and sense of humor helped her persevere through this and every obstacle she faced in life. From the smallest moments to the largest; she could bring levity to any situation.
Sharon was very family oriented; a true matriarch of her family. She provided her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with love, comfort, humor, and a sense of family.
She loved to be the center of attention at family gatherings and in any social settings. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends playing bingo, cards, or doing jigsaw puzzles together.
Sharon was predeceased by her mother, 8 brothers, 1 sister, and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her 3 loving children: Antionette (Don) Moore, Michelle DelGiacco, and Albert (Carol) DelGiacco. Her 7 grandchildren: Michael (Kate) Gardner, Tiffany (Roy) Compton, Kyrsten (Matt) Carroll, Meghan (Joshua) Long, JJ Gardner, Kaylie (Zach) Ramsey, and Thomas (Emily) Moore. Her 9 great-grandchildren: Maddie, Tanner, Luciano, Mila, Charlie, Dylan, Santino, Cecilia, and Ethan. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday March 1st from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, New York.
