SCOTIA Sharon L. Levine (Malone), 61, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 after a long battle with several serious illnesses.
She was born May 4th, 1954 to the late Harry "Chick" and Ruth Malone in Albany, NY. Sharon received her Bachelor in English from Russel Sage College, graduating Suma Cum Laude in 1976. She was a medical transcriptionist for St Peters Hospital in Albany in the 1980's and, later, Hypertype Inc out of Lake George, NY for more than a decade. Sharon was an avid reader as well as an accomplished knitter and seamstress who enjoyed a good, white knuckled Sunday drive. She was quite the conversationalist and had a gift for story telling. She was a lifelong animal lover with a special place in her heart for wayward pets but, above all, she was a devoted mother.
Sharon is predeceased by her parents and her beloved feline friend, Midnight. She is survived by her four children, Lee Levine of Schaghticoke, NY, Lauren Levine of Fall River, MA, Robert Levine of Atlanta, GA and John Levine of Schenectady, NY.
Calling hour will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 on Monday November 16th, 2015 from 10-11am. A memorial service will be held at 11am with internment to follow at Greenbush Cemetery.
