NISKAYUNA – Sharyl "Sherri" L. Saplin died Tuesday morning, October 9, 2012, at Ellis Hospital.
Sherri is the daughter of Carol (Soltys) Gillie and the late Harmon Gillie. She graduated from Niskayuna High School and SUNY Brockport. She recently retired from a long career in Information Technology at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New Jersey. Sherri had a passion for gardening, craft fairs, and enjoyed concerts, family vacations and time spent in Florida.
Sherri is survived by her husband, Ronald Weinger; her daughter, Stacy Saplin of Berkeley Heights, NJ and her mother, Carol Gillie of Niskayuna.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Niskayuna Reformed Church, 3041 Troy Schenectady Road, Niskayuna, NY 12309.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sherri's name to the charity of your choice.
