SCHENECTADY- Shawn P. Parish, age 43, passed away with his family by his side on January 12, 2024.
He was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Bruce Parish and Lorrie Allen (husband Kent).
Besides his mother, Shawn is survived by his grandmother Alice Parish; fiancé, Keri McGinnis; his sister, Stacy Greene (husband David); his children: Makayla Crowley, Karleigh (Rahze) and Cora Parish; mother of his children, Janelle Giacumo; his grandson, Michael Badger and his godson Noah Noreen. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of many dear friends, as well as several step siblings.
Shawn loved to live life to the fullest. Everybody who met Shawn loved his humor, his big heart and personality. He will sorely be missed.
His children were his world. Shawn was an amazing cook and loved to do his yearly clam bake to bring family and friends together.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Monday January 22, 2024 from 1 to 2 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend his service following from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to sponsor Shawn's Annual Clam Bake that will be held in his honor in June 2024.
