Albany- Sheila M. Albright 73, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2022, with her loving daughters by her side.
Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Sylvia Lettrick (Halek). Sheila was a devoted wife to the late John G. Albright. They were married 53 years. Sheila is survived by her two loving daughters, Jennifer and Kristen Albright: and her faithful canine companion Abby. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Hohenstein, Daytona Beach, Florida and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for New York State, for over four decades.
Sheila's upmost priority was her family. She loved spending time with her soulmate, John and daughter's. Sheila was born in South Troy, NY and proud of where she was raised. Being from South Troy she often echoed the sentiment "South Troy Against the World". She often reminisced on stories of growing up with her parents and family.
Sheila enjoyed planting and gardening, as well as maintaining the landscape around her home. She adored all animals, setting up birdfeeders and feeding the squirrels. Sheila enjoyed traveling to see new sites, attending plays, and concerts. Her favorite musicians were Hall & Oates and the Bee Gees. She also enjoyed collecting coins and watching financial stations. Some of her favorite things to do were celebrating family events at the 76 Diner, Latham, New York, learning about her family lineage, watching QVC and The Young & The Restless. She also enjoyed watching shows such as, Call Me Cat, Ghost, and The Gilmore Girls as well as watching the Hallmark Channel.
Services will be private.
