GRALOW, SHEILA M.
Sheila McCroary Gralow, 68, after a long heroic battle against a rare Eosinophilic Disorder, passed away peacefully Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Community Hospice Inn, St. Peter's Hospital.
Born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Dr. Stanton McCroary and Catherine McCroary, she received her Master's degree in Clinical Speech Pathology from the College of Saint Rose, Albany, NY. Sheila worked for Albany Medical Center with stroke patients and later for Guilderland Schools in the Learning Workshop. As a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association she was a passionate educator who celebrated her student's successes.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Kenneth Gralow and children, Jennifer and Alyson.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will be Friday, August 12, at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 222 Pecks Road, Pittsfield, MA.
