Sheila Ann Peebles was born December 16, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Pattie and Shropshire Avery.
She is preceded in death by her son Maurice Peebles and her brother, Carl W. Avery.
Sheila, affectionately known as "She," was third child of eight children. She had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone who knew her. She would give away the last of anything she had and was adored by everyone who crossed her path. Sheila was always a good sounding board, and people were drawn to her infectious spirit.
She had the good fortune of finding two of the greatest loves of her life, Frank Peebles Jr. (deceased) and Ronald J. Knight (deceased). From those two unions she had Keith E. Knight, Damon L. Peebles, Maurice Peebles and Ronda T. Knight. Sheila was a loving, devoted and protective mother, who had nothing but pride for her children and grandchildren.
She attended Clara Barton HS in Brooklyn, NY for Cosmetology. Her hobbies included cooking for her family, friends and neighbors. She loved listening to music, was an avid photographer, and loved dragonflies.
Sheila is now resting with the Lord and her spirit will live on in our hearts forever. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children Keith Knight, Damon Peebles (Rebecca), and Ronda Knight; grandchildren, Nia and Nyah Peebles; siblings, Carolyn, Antoinette, Hilton, Bernard, Yvonne, Patrick; and her soul sister, Kathy. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
