Shirley A. Allery

Shirley A. Allery, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Theresa Shields. Shirley was the devoted wife to the late Edmund F. Allery. They were married 42 years. 

In addition to raising five children and keeping up with all the demands of a busy homemaker, Shirley worked various jobs including retail, nursing and banking. 

Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved to bake for them. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling as well as spending time outdoors enjoying nature. 

Shirley is survived by her children, Deborah A. (Andrew) Dugrenier, Karen J. (Michael) Dauphinais, Michael J. (Tracy) Allery, and Thomas P. (Toni) Allery, as well as 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many friends. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley is predeceased by her son Edmund M. (Sue) Allery.

A memorial service will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shirley's name to the Teresian House in Albany, NY or to a charity of your choice.
