North Fort Myers, FL – Shirley A. Byron, 67, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Jane Yevchinecz. Shirley had worked for the NYS Department of Labor until her retirement. She enjoyed making crafts for her family and friends and was a member of the North Fort Myers, FL Elks Lodge. Shirley was a kind and gentle person who was loved by all and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends in New York, Florida and Michigan, but especially Brad Crawford of Michigan. She is predeceased by her husband Richard M. Byron, Sr.
Shirley is the mother of Richard M. Byron, Jr. and Kevin J. Byron, the grandmother of Jaime Byron, Richard J. Byron, Samantha Byron and Molly Byron and the sister of Sylvie Yevchinecz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
