July 14, 1930 — December 24, 2012

ALBANY –Shirley A. Gianquitto McDonald, 82, of Albany, passed away on Monday December 24, 2012 at the Hudson Park Nursing Home.
She was born in Scranton, PA and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Edythe Gianquitto. Shirley was the sister of the late Norman Gianquitto. Shirley served in the US Navy WAVES during the Korean War. She was a member of Post 1704, an all women Veterans Post of the American Legion. She is a member of the Albany Seniors and was an avid reader.
Shirley is survived by her son William R. (Patricia) McDonald and her daughter, Patricia Scully. She is the grandmother of Heather Osterhout, Brian (Jess) McDonald, Matthew and Adam Scully. Great grandnmother of Kramer Osterhout.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial services on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
