Shirley Adams

COLONIE- Shirley Adams, 78, of Colonie, passed away peacefully Tuesday November 14, 2006 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, surrounded by her children.
Shirley was born November 28, 1927 in Albany and was the daughter of the late William and Florence Layman Roemer. Shirley worked as a bookkeeper along with her husband John in his business, John Adams & Co. Construction Supply. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and dear friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center and Community Hospice of Albany.
Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband of 43 years, John G. Adams and her four brothers, William, Robert, Walter and Richard Roemer.
She is the beloved mother of John (Sue) Adams of Colonie, Jeffrey (Diane) Adams of Amsterdam and Joni (James) Albert of Naples, FL. She is the dear sister of James Roemer of Berne. Cherished grandmother of Cherryl, Jeffrey, Jay, Kelley , Steven, Patrick, Scott, Gerry and Justin. Great grandmother of Justin, Kayla, Nicholas, Christopher, Alex, Benjamin and Ryan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at Newcomer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Newcomerfamily.com
