Shirley E. Bacher
February 13, 1927 — March 24, 2017
Watervliet- Shirley E. Bacher, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was the daughter of the late James and Marion Esmond. Shirley is predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Frank J. Bacher.
Shirley was devoted to her family, friends and her faith. Shirley enjoyed sports especially golf with her husband and friends.
She is survived by her son Thomas Bacher (Ann-Marie) as well as her four grandchildren, Alissa DeJonge (Luke Dalton), Clark Whitney (Ira), James Bacher and Aimee Bacher and one great grandchild, Pierce Dalton.
In addition to her husband, Shirley is predeceased by her children, Paula DeJonge (R.J.), Frank J. Bacher Jr. (Cindy) and her grandson Ryan Bacher.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the incredible caring staff at the Loudonville Assisted Living Residence. Their dedication provided a wonderful, loving home for Shirley.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Pius X, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211. Entombment will follow mass at St. Agnes Cemetery.
