Shirley Ann Benjamin

Clifton Park- Shirley Ann Benjamin (Ferguson), 66, passed away at home on Thursday, August 12, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Born November 12, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Rock) and Wendell Ferguson.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Shirley. Her family was her compassion. She loved taking long rides in the country with her husband Frank. If she knew, someone needed something she was the first to help out. She loved her garden with vegetables and flowers. She also loved all of her family and her dog Jadie and PeeWee the cat. Shirley would always come up with her tales and woes and they sound so true. Shirley often raved about the tremendous help and support the Benjamin family gave her throughout her illness. We give many thanks to all of Frank's family. As she always said, "her butterflies will set her free."
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Frank Benjamin. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Ferguson (Barbara) of Vermont and John Ferguson (former wife Luanne Ferguson) of Pennsylvania. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sibling William Ferguson Sr.(Donna of Florida).
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 18, 2021 from 11am-1pm at New Comer Cremation & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd. Watervliet, NY 12189. A funeral ceremony will begin at 1pm with burial following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
