COLONIE- Shirley M. Davey, age 89, passed away surrounded by family on October 2, 2020 at Schenectady Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation.
She was born in Kingston, NY, the daughter of the late Leroy and Deborah White.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Davey, Jr.; her two sons: Andrew Davey and Fred Davey; and her brother, William White.
Shirley enjoyed knitting, crocheting, pinochle and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
At the age of 60, Shirley fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse and graduated thru the LPN program at Ann Lee Nursing Home in 1991. Upon her graduation, Shirley was promoted to Charge Nurse of her unit.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Deborah and Kenneth Anatriello; grandchildren: Andrew Davey Jr., Todd Squires, Matthew Anatriello and Kristina "Nina" Anatriello; sister, Winifred Nazzaro; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205. A service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
