Shirley A. "Ranalli" Furman, 80, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Born in Albany on August 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Orbin and Anna (Narzynski) Orbin. Shirley was the dear friend and long time companion of James A. Ranalli.
Shirley was employed in retail for over 27 years first with Montgomery Ward as their accounting clerk and later Sears.
She enjoyed gardening and loved the outdoors.
Shirley is survived by her companion James A. Ranalli who will miss her dearly, her two sisters Helen Brown of Clifton Park and Sheila Cassella of Waterford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends may call 10-11 a.m., Wednesday June 6th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, where prayers will be offered at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr #100, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Shirley A. Furman.
