Schenectady- Shirley A. Grant, 84, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with her husband by her side on, Thursday, December 30, 2021. Born in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beulah Sousa. Shirley is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward J. Grant Sr.
Shirley loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her two sons, Edward J. Grant Jr. and James J. Grant (Nicole). She was the loving "Gammy" to Austin and Britney Grant.
She will also be missed by her siblings, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 9am-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will begin at 11am at the funeral home with interment following at Holy Sepulchre.
