COLONIE- Shirley A. Hulsopple, 81, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born on March 6, 1935 to the late John and Anna Hendrickson in Albany, NY. On August 16, 1963 Shirley married the love of her life, Peter E. Hulsopple Jr. Together they were married for 48 years and had two sons. Shirley will be remembered for her love of traveling and camping with her husband in Myrtle Beach. She was a loving and caring homemaker, and was a compulsive clean freak! Her passion in life was her family. Shirley was a strong willed woman and will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.
Shirley is predeceased by her husband, Peter, and her siblings; Joe Bendell, Lillian Smith, Marie Greene, Joan Bradley, and Roy Hendrickson.
She is survived by her two sons; Raymond (Kathleen) W. Lifite, and John J. Lifite, her grandchildren; Erin (Carl) Oropallo, Nicole (Joshua Rijo) Lifite, Bonnie (Sean) Gramm, and John Lifite, her great-grandchildren; Trista Polsinello, Alexander Polsinello, Joshua Rijo, Chase Oropallo, and Wyatt Gramm, her nieces; Joanne (Dell) High, and Janet Braley, and especially her close friends, Karen and Gary Vandenburg who spent so much time with Shirley over the last several years.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, Colonie Chapel, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a service to immediately follow.
