Shirley A. Laprade
October 19, 1951 — December 14, 2020
Shirley A. LaPrade, 69, of Schenectady, NY passed away recently after a valiant battle with cancer. Shirley was the daughter of the late William and Emily McGroty.
She is predeceased by her sister Sharon McBride.
Shirley is survived by her sister, Coleen Fowler, her son, Christopher LaPrade, loving aunt to Dave Barringer, Adam Sheldon, Eli Sheldon, Tim Fowler and Hannah Treis, as well as many great nephews and nieces.
Shirley was a good friend to everyone she met and she had a love for pets and will be missed by her dogs Rooster and Issac.
Shirley was employed by NYS with the Department of Taxation and Finance. Previously she worked for the Costumer and The Collections by Terese.
Funeral service will be private at a later date, A memorial service is also being planned at Northway Church and the date is pending due to COVID 19 increases.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Northway Church or to the Multiple Myeloma Society or the Leukemia Society in her memory.
