Shirley Liberty

Barefoot Bay, FL.- Shirley Liberty, 79, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, Florida. Born in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Lillian Begley. Shirley was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She is predeceased by her husband Arnold Liberty and her dear friend Harvey Bell.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Terri Fernet and her husband Don of Barefoot Bay, FL, her grandchildren, Marissa Upton of Saratoga Springs, Ryan Upton and his fiancée Alaina of Vero Beach, FL and DJ Fernet of Barefoot Bay, FL, her great-granddaughter Mikayla and her two sisters, Myrtle Kirkland and Veva Blood, both of Barefoot Bay, FL. Shirley is also survived by her beloved dog Twizzle, who was like a second child to Shirley and her dear friend Kathryn Spinosa.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Shirley Liberty.
