COLONIE- Shirley Anne Malthouse, 78, entered into the arms of her Lord Jesus on May 28, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Toledo, OH and raised in Bolton Landing, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Louise Silverthorne. She is also predeceased by her son, James Malthouse.
She was a devoted homemaker and mother to her family. Shirley loved making pies to share with those she loved. In her early years, she worked as a hairdresser.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, John W. Malthouse; son, Sean (Lisa) Malthouse; daughter, Heather (Lon) Walker; grandchildren, Amanda, Cassandra, Jonathan, Matthew, Christina, Corisa, 5 great grandchildren; sister, Beverly McIntyre and 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
Two things most dear to Shirley were her faith and family. The words of Jesus were a comfort to her, "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly." John 10:10
Services for Shirley will be private and at the convenience of the family.
