Albany- Shirley A. Resciniti, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Ezra and Daisy Bushnell. Shirley was the devoted wife to the late Joseph Resciniti. They were married 25 years.
Shirley worked as a waitress until her retirement where she made many friends.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her entire family and watching the Yankees. She was an avid reader. Shirley had a passion for people watching and going for long rides in the car.
Shirley is survived by her children, Pamela J. (Steve) Kroft-King, Susan M. (Mathew) Basos, Michael E. (Kimberly) Ross, James (Colleen) Katsares, John (Marie) Katsares, Kim A. Katsares, Joseph (Tina) Resciniti, Marcus A. (Davina) Resciniti, Rocco L. (Christine) Resciniti; 23 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Martha) Bushnell; a niece and a nephew; and many cousins and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley is predeceased by her grandsons, Sean Lupo and William Hooks.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at the Teresian House floor 5A who provided kind and compassionate care to Shirley and her family.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York, 12189 on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 12pm to 2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. The family requests that all attending please wear their best Yankee attire in her memory.
