Shirley A. Sanders

Troy- Shirley A. Sanders, 66, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, March 31, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Martha Gamble.

Shirley worked as a nurse's aide for Eden Park in East Greenbush. She enjoyed taking care of her house plants and knitting. Above all Shirley enjoyed
spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Erica Sanders and Damian Sanders. She is also survived by her siblings, Clarence Gamble Jr. (Rowena), Willie Gamble (Louise), Larry Gamble, Laverne Conyers, Vernett Irby and Eric Gamble, her uncles, Willie Conyers and Joe Gamble. Shirley also leaves behind her grandchildren, Adaysia Moore, Kamier Hicks, Tajania Sanders and one great grandchild, Jhazariah Moore.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is predeceased by her brother, Jerome Gamble.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9:00am-10:00am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189. A funeral service will begin at 10:00am at the funeral home will interment following at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
