Siduan Wu

May 2, 1932 — November 28, 2024

Guilderland

Siduan Wu passed away peacefully after a brief illness, having lived 92 happy and accomplished years. He was born in Enping, China 1932. Siduan was married for 65 years to Chunnong Ruan. Together they formed a formidable team, had 3 children and survived many daunting hardships, always remaining strong, helpful and loyal to their many friends and extended families.

Siduan always put family first. His proudest achievements were his beloved children and 6 grandchildren, each of whom he cherished, supported and helped to raise; he was a great believer in the power and importance of education and was very proud that all of his children and grandchildren were college educated. His grandchildren treasure the memories of his gentle, calm demeanor and endless love and patience for them; he celebrated their every achievement and was so proud of them.

He is remembered with great fondness by his many students, many of whom stayed in touch with him, as well as his colleagues at a technical college where he taught and served as president in Guangzhou China. He was himself a perpetual student, endlessly learning and curious. Immigrating to the United States to join his children and grandchildren filled him with immense happiness and gratitude. He was kind to all, always displaying an unforgettable and warm smile; he was highly intelligent yet so humble. He made the world a better place and will be missed immeasurably.

Siduan is the loving parent of Ping Yuan Wu (Jacqueline Guidarelli-Wu), Pinghua Wu (Hank Lin), & Pingzhi Wu (Fang Ao) and the cherished grandparent of Han Lin (Meredith Adamo), Allegra Wu, Isabella Wu, John Wu, Zhuolin Wu, Alexander Wu, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the dearest sibling to his 3 predeceased brothers.
