He was a proud graduate of James Madison High School, University of Chicago, Columbia University, and RPI.
His career was at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Niskayuna, NY.
He loved the sciences, and was a lifelong learner and teacher.
He was our patriarch, and his passing leaves a profound void for all who knew and loved him, including his wife, Sally, his sister, Linda Metzger, his children, Karen (Jeff Katz) and Lori (Andy Wiley), and especially his grandsons, Nate, Rob, and Joey Katz.
Ellis Hospital A6 staff took superb and loving care of Simon. The family is grateful.
