ALBANY – Sophie Bryett, 99, formerly of Glenville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2012 at Teresian House. Born in Dedham, MA she was the daughter of the late Henry (Woitkiewicz) and Sophia (Kaminski) White. Sophie enjoyed cooking, baking and flower gardening. She loved all animals, especially her most recent cat, April, whom she adopted from a local rescue shelter.
Sophie was the beloved wife of the late John T. Bryett. She is survived by her son, John T. Bryett, III and two grandsons. Also surviving is her adored and loving niece, Mary Laramie of Albany.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
