Sophie H. Chlopecki

SCOTIA, NY – Sophie H. Chlopecki, 95, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. She was born in Amsterdam, NY and lived in the Capital District area for all of her life. Mrs. Chlopecki worked at Union College for many years before her retirement. She is the beloved wife of the late Casimir Chlopecki. Sophie is the devoted mother of Casimier (Carol) Chlopecki and the late Dolores Brister. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
