ALBANY - Stacia Cecelia Sesock, 92, went home peacefully to Heaven on Sunday, September 25, 2011 in Batavia, NY.
Stacia was born on December 7, 1918 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Stanley M. and Apolonia (Celmerowska) Golembiewski. She went to local schools and worked as a banquet waitress at The Ten Eyck, Wellington, and Dewitt Clinton Hotel all in Albany. Stacia loved attending Mass, volunteered for many years at the VA, and helped many less fortunate. She deeply loved her family.
Stacia is survived by her daughter, Rose A. Sesock; her son, John (Mary Ann) Sesock; her sisters, Therese Mongin and Sister Mary Daniel osf; and her brother, Joseph F. Golembieski. Stacia is also survived by many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Stacia was predeceased by her husband, Edward Sesock; her sons, George and Edward J. Sesock; her grandson, Mark R. Sheridan; two sisters, Stella Endres Baluch and Anne H. Dedeo; two brothers, Alexander J. and Stanley S. Golembieski; her brothers-in-law, Charles Mongin and Sonny Dedeo, and her sisters-in-law, Ann and Marjorie Golembieski.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
