Stanley F. Hunter

December 20, 1940 — March 4, 2020

Gilboa- Stanley F. Hunter, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 surrounded by his family. Born in Saranac Lake, New York he was the son of the late Fay and Melva Hunter of Norwood, New York. Stanley is predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Diana E. (McDonald) Hunter.

Stan loved to live life large. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including boating, skiing and riding bicycles and motorcycles. He loved all things mechanical starting with building his own go-cart as a child. He continued to invent and build throughout his life. Stan also loved to travel and explored every state across the Northern United States and down the East and West Coasts, Hawaii and across "the pond" to England. Above all, Stan loved spending time with his family especially his three daughters and their families.

Stan is survived by his three daughters Julie McKee (Matthew), Cynthia Moscoso (Leslie) and Amy St. Onge (Richard). He is also survived by his grandsons, Hunter and Shalor McKee, Greyson Moscoso and Christopher St. Onge. He will also be remembered by his sisters, Patricia LaRose (the late Clayton) and Cheryl Ware (the late Donald), sisters in law Kathleen Hunt (the late John), Rosemary Hunter and many nieces and nephews.

Stan is predeceased by his brothers, Dean Hunter and Paul Hunter and his son in law Alec Boudreau.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Hospice Inn or you may make a blood donation in Stan's name which was near and dear to his heart.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Latham, NY 12110.
