StarLetta Jean Montanez
At 10:19 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 a beautiful “Star” was born to Billie Jean Corlew and Edwin Montanez Jr at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Although this little one’s life was brief, her “Star’s” light touched so many hearts, and that light will continue to shine in those hearts forever! StarLetta Jean was a true gift from God, so the light we speak of is her precious smile. While here on earth, StarLetta was a fighter and she enjoyed being in her loving family’s arms. That’s where she would share that bright smile the most. On the evening of Thursday, July 25th our Lord came and took our strong Star home with him, where she will have no more pain, struggles, or will no longer have to fight. Now our Precious Star is shining bright in the arms of Jesus and his angels.

StarLetta Jean’s family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who with God’s help worked hard and allowed us to have the most precious five months with our bright shining “Star”. We would also like to thank family, friends and organizations that have assisted with everything StarLetta related.
Billie and Edwin are asking that all who attend StarLetta’s service wear something other than black, they would prefer lighter colors as that’s what Star looked best in and made her happy.
Services for StarLetta will be held at 3:00pm, on Tuesday, July 30th at Newcomer Funeral Home at 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205.
Instead of flowers Billie and Edwin are asking that the money you would have spent on flowers go to one of the following charities in StarLetta’s name
