Stella Kuchis

COLONIE- Stella M. Kuchis, 81, of Colonie, passed away suddenly on Friday December 23, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Albany and w as the daughter of the late John and Anna Wall.
Stella was predeceased in 1981 by her beloved husband William Kuchis and by her devoted daughter Laraine J. Kuchis on December 15, 2005.
Stella and her husband had operated the former Bill's tavern in Albany for several years. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cooley Contracting and Herzog & Hopkins Oil Company before retiring in 1984. Stella was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was treasured by her loving family and delighted in the pleasures of being a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She is the beloved mother of George (Donna) Kuchis, Diane (Eric) Reinhart and Anthony (Michelle) Kuchis. She is the cherished grandmother of Derek and Corey Reinhart, Nicholas, Emily, Mallory and Andrew Kuchis. She is the beloved sister of Sr. Anna Walkaukas, DC and the late John and William Wall. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 8:45 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church Food Pantry, 26 Wilson Ave Albany NY 12205 in memory of Stella M. Kuchis.
