ALBANY – Stella T. Kosier, 89, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Stella was born on September 8, 1921 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Alexandria (Tanski) Sokol. She was also predeceased by her husband, Henry Kosier; her sisters, Josephine Savoy and Viola Orsini; and her brother, Frank Sokol.
Stella worked as an operator and accounting clerk for the NY Telephone Co. in Menands for many years before retiring.
Stella is survived by her loving sons, Andrew J. Kosier and John E. (June) Kosier; her cherished granddaughter, Andrea Holly Kosier; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Kathryn Cecila Kosier. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity in Stella's name.
