Stephanie M. Zusy passed away at home on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the age of 50.
She is predeceased by her mother Grace A. Swenson, grandparents, Albert and Ann Swenson, uncle Gary Swenson, aunts Alberta Conell, Janice Swenson-Evert, cousins Stephen Conell and Mark Swenson.
She is survived by her children, John Sager Jr., Jena (Erik) Tekin and Jaycee Hallenbeck, her grandson John Sager III, partner Thomas Hallenbeck, father Doug Zusy, brother Terry Brown, niece Salina Brown; her aunts Patricia (Walt) Myers, Virginia McKenna, Jacqueline (Bill) Vath, Ingrid (Robert) Austin; close cousins Andrea, Kelly, Liz, and many others; best friend Anna Perez, and her beloved dog Bruno.
For over 30 years she raised a family with, loved and was loved by Tom Hallenbeck. They first met as teenagers and were together till the end. This summer she enjoyed trips to the Bronx Zoo with her son and grandson and to the Finger Lakes with her daughters and Tom.
Stephanie was a Nurse's Aide for St. Peter's Health Partners and took pride in caring for her clients. She also worked in the food industry and was an excellent cook.
Stephanie traveled the world but her greatest joy was to be at home, cooking and caring for her family and dogs. She made a house a home and there was always a home cooked meal for everyone, including her dogs.
