Stephen A. Mueller

GUILDERLAND – Stephen A. Mueller passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Stratton VA Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Teaneck, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward and Martha Mueller.
Steve was a devoted husband and father. He retired as Staff Sergeant from the United States Army after 37 years of long and faithful service. Steve was a Crew Chief for UH-1H (Huey) Helicopters. He was a Commercial Pilot, aircraft restorer, and loved fishing, boating and hunting. Above all else, he loved being with his family!
Steve will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary M. Mueller of Guilderland; son Lt. Col USAF Ret. Stephen E. Mueller, and his wife Catherine J. Mueller of Clifton Park.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff on the Hospice ward at Stratton VA Medical Center for their compassionate care.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Those wishing to travel in procession are invited to New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie for 9:15 am. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 in Steve's name.
