Stephen D. Plaske

COLONIE- Stephen D. Plaske, 77, of Colonie , passed away on Friday March 7, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Stephen and Anna Plaske. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Mr. Plaske enjoyed a forty two year career with Trustco Bank, retiring in 1996 as a Branch Manager. More recently, he worked with his family at Plaske's Greenhouse in Colonie. He was an avid collector. His wife, Mary Taylor Plaske predeceased him in 2004.
Steve is the beloved father of Susan (Bill) O'Neill of Kentucky,
Donna (William) Relyea of Scotia, Kenneth (Susan) Plaske and Michael (Shelley) Plaske of Colonie. He is the cherished grandfather of Kristin, Bryan, Kathryn, Jenn, Christopher, Bill, Stephen, Kimberly, Laura, Sean, Alyssa, Kyle and Thomas. He is the great grandfather of Taylor Mary. Steve is the brother of Arlene (John) Skudlarek and brother in law of Frances Taylor. He was also predeceased by his nephew, David Farrell. He is the uncle of Doreen and John.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Clare's Church at 11:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
