Clifton Park- Stephen E. Ten Eyck passed away at the home of his daughter after a brief illness on November 1, 2015. He was 75 years old.
The son of the late Robert E. and Dorothy L. (Brimmer) Ten Eyck, Stephen was born on April 10, 1940 in Albany, NY. He graduated with a BA in Biology from Gettysburg College PA and an MA in Religion at Andover Newton Theological School in MA. He briefly taught high school biology in North Attleboro MA.
Stephen was a devout Christian and he had a great love for God. He was a civil war enthusiast and a skilled leather crafter. He loved animals and nature. Stephen was very patriotic.
Stephen was survived by his daughter Larissa "Lara" and her husband James Berg; his only grandchild Andrew Berg; his nieces and nephew: Gretchen Vahle, Karen (Tim) Moreland, Michael (Renita) Ten Eyck.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was predeceased by his brother Leonard Ten Eyck and his infant sister Carol Ann Ten Eyck.
Visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday, November 4 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 5 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
