Stephen F. Gasorowski

COLONIE- Stephen F. Gasorowski, 57, of Colonie, passed away on Friday April 11, 2008 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Albany on September 29, 1950 and is the son of Stella Olsiewski Gasorowski and the late Stanley F. Gasorowski.
Steve had worked for 37 ½ years with New York State. He was employed with the State Police, Office of Mental Health and was most recently working for the Department of Corrections in the Information Systems Department where he was planning his retirement. Steve belonged to the Burnt Hills Oratory Society for the past 10 years and sang base, performing in many concerts. He truly loved his music and had a wonderful voice that was also heard from the church choir during services. Steve was an elder at Delmar Presbyterian Church and served on many committees during the past 22 years.
Steve leaves behind his best friend and love of his life for 25 years, his wife Lynn Gasorowski; He was a loving father and leaves two beautiful children, Jason of Cleveland, OH and Carrie (Matt Hawron) of Waterford. He is also survived by his beautiful new granddaughter, Stella Rose Hawron. He is the brother of Stanley J. Gasorowski (Gloria Galea) of Colonie. He also leaves his close friends who were always there for him and he for them, Scott and Mary Kay Derby, Bruce and Cindi Cole and Sharon and Bill Mayer. Steve loved being with his cherished family and friends.
Memorial services in celebration of Steve's life will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 at Delmar Presbyterian Church, 585 Delaware Ave. Delmar, NY. All are welcome and invited to attend.
