Stephen J. Campbell, Sr.

Stephen J. Campbell, Sr., 63, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
Stephen is the son of the late Donald and Gregoria Campbell.
He is the devoted husband of over 21 years, to Mary H. Sharkey-Campbell.
Stephen proudly served with the United States Navy during 1971 to 1975.
He enjoyed reading and loved playing with his granddaughter, Maggie.
In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by his son, Stephen (Karina) Campbell, Jr.; he is the brother of Donna Lyons, Sue Fusco, Lois Salvagio, David, Michael and Timothy Campbell. He was the proud grandfather of Margaret D. Campbell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, especially his best friend, Bill "Rip" Collins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Veterans Miracle Center, 10 Interstate Avenue, Albany, NY 12205 or to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675, in Stephen's memory.
