Stephen J. Howatt

SCHENECTADY – Stephen J. Howatt, 53, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Stephen was born on March 31, 1958 in Watertown, NY and was the son of the late Frederick F. and Joan (Dawson) Howatt. He graduated in 1980 from Siena College with a Bachelor in Political Science. He was currently employed as a warranty administrator with Lazare Lincoln Kia in Colonie for the past 20 years. He was an avid football and baseball fan.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Anne E. (Stevens) Bortle; his step-daughter, Theresa A. Bortle; his brother, Douglas Howatt; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wil and Barbara Stevens.
A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 6 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held private at the convenience of the family.
