It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Steve Mahar, 66, on January 9, 2024.

Born March 11, 1957 to Edmund Mahar and Elise Lennon at Brady Hospital, the 6th of 9 children. He was raised in Albany and Greenville.

In 1982 he married the love of his life, Carol Adams. They resided in Colonie and raised Courtney (Timothy) Hynes and Ryan Mahar. He was a family man and a hard worker for Estes Express. He was an avid gardener and landscaper.

He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Barbara Robinson, Theresa Ingrao and Carol Schoonmaker.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife Carol, children Courtney and Ryan, three grandchildren who called him "Pa", Tyler Mahar, Jameson and Sage Hynes, siblings Daniel (Lisa), Joseph, Patrick, Martin and Kenneth Mahar and many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

In lieu of flowers Memorials are suggested to the Colonie EMS Benevolent Association at www.cemsba.org

A visitation will be held on Friday January 19th from 10:30am-11:00am with a funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am at St. Pius X Church. 23 Crumitie Rd Loudonville NY.
