Stephen O. Popowniak, Sr.
November 9, 1946 — July 27, 2013
Stephen Otto Popowniak Sr. "Steve", 66, passed away on Saturday, Jul 27, 2013 at his Residence. He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany to the late Basil and Anna Popowniak. Steve proudly served with United States Marines and worked for the Homeless Veterans Coalition in Albany.
He is survived by his children; Katherine and Stephan (Melissa Fiore) Popowniak; his four grandchildren Isabella, Korey, Owen and Serena. He is the brother of Manfred Priwall and Nancy Weinberger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, 278 Clinton Ave. Albany, NY 12210 in Steve's memory.
There will be a graveside service for Stephen on Friday, August 09, 2013 at 1:30 pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
