Stephen Spring, age 77 – passed away on April 19 in Lititz, PA from Alzheimer's.
Steve was born October 16, 1946, the son of the late Harold and Leah Nadine Hunt Spring. Steve had many stories to tell of fun times and hard work at the family business while growing up in Indian Lake and Long Lake. Steve graduated from Long Lake High School and attended HVCC. Steve married the love of his life of 46 years, Linda Stilsing. Steve and Linda enjoyed many adventures together, skiing, boating on the Sacandaga, traveling cross country and antiquing until Linda's MS grounded her and Steve became Linda's loyal and primary caretaker until her death. Steve and Linda resided in Schodack for many years and were the proud owners of a beautiful home that was furnished with cherished antiques and surrounded with beautiful landscaping. Steve worked as a surveyor where he often spoke of his involvement with the creation of the Empire State Plaza in Albany, he worked for Stilsing Electric, Inc. for many years as a Project Manager and retired from the IBEW Local 236.
In addition to his parents, Steve is predeceased by his wife Linda Spring, his siblings Chris Spring, David Spring and Susan Lange.
Steve is survived by several nieces and nephews, Mother-in-law Dorilee Stilsing, Sisters-in-law Donna Spring, Dale Spring, Lisa Ort, Jenny Stilsing and Brothers-in-law Bob Lange and Lloyd Stilsing.
Funeral Services will be May 1, 2024 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours with a Celebration of Life for Steve and Linda will be from 10:00-12:00. Burial will immediately follow at the East Greenbush Cemetery on Hayes Rd.
