Scotia - Stephen P. Villano Jr., 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 10, 2020 from Kidney failure at Glendale Nursing home where he resided for the past year, his loving daughters were by his side.
Born at home in Schenectady, he was the oldest son of the late Stephen P. Villano Sr. and Adeline (DeCarlo) Villano.
Stephen was married as a teenager to the love of his life Janet E. (Collins) Villano for 62 years, until her passing in 2014.
At the age of 18 Stephen went to work for Elliot Buick, where he was Head Mechanic for 40 years. He was loved by many of his longtime customers.
After retirement he enjoyed traveling, mostly to Miami Florida to visit and sing with his longtime friend and actor, Joey Bishop. Stephen also enjoyed cooking,he loved making Shrimp Scampi, and he enjoyed a good scotch, enjoy your scotch in Heaven Dad!! Salute! He also had a real sense of humor, we are going to miss our Jokester!
He was a member of the Guilderland Elks, where he was an Exalted Ruler, he also served as Vice President of the New York State Elks, and as Chaplain(Chappy) of the Rotterdam Eagles, and was involved with the Scotia-Glenville Elks.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was predeceased his beloved wife, Janet E. (Collins) Villano, his son Robert S. Villano (2016),a brother Edward Villano, and his nephew Mark Villano.
He is survived by his loving daughters Maureen L. (Tad) Boniewski of Scotia, and Helen J. (Frank) Hendershot of Rochester, cherished grandchildren Stephanie (Rob) Schaller of South Carolina, Shawn (Crystal) August of New Jersey, Christopher (Darci) Boniewski, Eric (Jessica) Boniewski of Scotia, and nine great grandchildren, as well as his dear sister Jeannette Thonemen, many cousins,nieces and nephews and friends.
Stephen's family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Glendale Nursing home for watching over our Dad, especially during the pandemic when we couldn't be there.

Interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
