Stephen Weinman

Colonie- Stephen G. Weinman, 48, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday June 17, 2006 at his residence after a long battle with cancer. Steve lived most of his life in Albany before moving to Colonie three years ago.
He worked in his family owned business, Fairlawn Realty for 27 years. He was a devoted Dad to Matthew and coached his baseball team for man years. Steve was an avid golfer who enjoyed many Friday outings with his childhood friends. He had bowled with the Holy Cross Men's league for many years. Steve will be remembered for his strength and the will to never give up during his long battle with cancer. He was known for his kindness towards others, his great disposition and his great smile.
He is the son of Robert and Mary Ann Weinman. He is the beloved husband of Sheila E. Weinman. Devoted father of Matthew J. Weinman. He is the brother of Robert (Theresa) Weinman, Terry (Michael) Francini, William (Connie) Weinman, Bernard Weinman, Gregory Weinman, Lynn (Gary) Mele and the late Christina Weinman. Brother in law of Colleen (William) Goyette and Shelly Godin. Steve is also the son in law of the late Matthew and Joan Malloy whom he spent many vacations in Naples Florida making several fond memories. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Louis B. Harrison, Dr. Lisa T. Galati and dear friends Jack and Renee Adriance for their devoted support and compassion.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8pm at the funeral home.
