Queens-Stephen J. Zido "Muppy", 69, of Stephentown passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family and buddy, Benny their pit bull.
Stephen was born on October 7, 1952, in Richmon Hill, Queens, New York to Anna Baque Zido and the late Stephen P. Zido at Mary Immaculate Hospital. He graduated from John Adams High School. He worked in a bike shop as a teen, then went on to become a machinist in Long Island for many years.
In addition to his father, Stephen is predeceased by his loving wife, Christina Borowski.
In addition to his mother, Stephen is lovingly remembered by his son, Stephen D. (Becky) Zido; daughter, Christine (Jeannine Morell) Zido; granddaughter, Graciana Zido; brothers; Joseph (Mark Brown) Zido, Thomas (Noreen) Zido, and David (Sandy Wallace) Zido; and many friends.
Stephen had a fond love of fishing the ocean. He enjoyed WWF, New York sports teams, snakes, and Rock-N-Roll. All his loves and interests will live on through those who loved him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hospice Team for their help and care.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to be made in the loving memory of Stephen to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave Menands, NY 12204
A memorial mass and gathering with be held at a later date.
