Steven J. Trudeau, 70, of Delmar, NY, (formerly of Marathon, NY) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Steve was born in Malone, NY, on December 1, 1952 to Carl and Ernestine Trudeau of Constable, NY. He graduated from Franklin Academy, Class of 1972. Following high school, he enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps. After his tour of duty, he spent several years in sales including automotive, Schwan's, Standard Coffee and finished his work career as a conductor for the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

Steve enjoyed spending time with family and friends making the most of every day. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather (aka "Badka"). Neighbors often saw Steve walking one of his beloved labs - Precious, Marley and most recently sweet Goldie.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Dann; his daughter Nicole Trudeau Long (& family) of Cincinnati, OH; his sons Tyler (Kristen & Lilly) Trudeau of Ashley, PA and Todd Trudeau of Goshen, NY; his step-daughter Nicole (James) Cataldo of Schenectady, NY; his step-son Michael (Danielle Ferry) Dann of Enfield, NH, and his pride and joy grandchildren, Emma, Vincent and Avery who were the light of his life. In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Rick Gilmour) Judware of Brooksville, FL; Marilyn Gokey of Orlando, FL; his brother, Terry Trudeau of Constable, NY; sister-in-law Susette Underwood of Winter Park, FL; mother-in-law, Carole Connelly of Delmar, NY; several nieces and nephews who he adored; and many friends and neighbors that he truly cherished.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Harwood, sister-in-law, Laura Lee Harwood; brother-in-law, Robert Gokey and father-in-law, Gene Connelly.

A funeral mass to celebrate Steve's life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 2216 Rosa Rd., Schenectady, NY 12309 with a brunch to follow.
