WATERVLIET – Sultana K. Abdullah, 58, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Sultana was born on April 26, 1955 in Manhattan, NY and is the daughter of O'Lena A. (Dye) Abdullah and the late Hasan Abdullah. She attended SUNY Albany. She has been working for the past 28 years as an attendant for the NYS Thruway Authority in Albany. She was a fun loving and vibrant person. She enjoyed watching game shows, reality TV, and being with friends. She'll be missed by her K-9 companion, Krystal.
In addition to her loving mother, Sultana is survived by her loving siblings, Jarmila Abdullah-Wilkinson (Lawrence), Hasan H. Abdullah; and her cherished nieces, Lena Virginia Hopkins (Jonathan), Kareen Elizabeth Wilkinson, Jessica Arlene Wilkinson, and Mila Khadijah Wilkinson. She is also survived by numerous loving close family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3 Morton Avenue, Albany.
