Susan A. Fuller

ALBANY- Susan A. Fuller, age 65, passed away surrounded by family on September 13, 2024.

She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late John Lifite and Helen and Henry Smith. She was also predeceased by her siblings: John Lifite Jr. and MaryEllen Lifite.

In her younger years, she worked as a dedicated Medical Assistant, always caring for others. As time went on, she became a “stay-at-home mother” in the truest sense. Though she didn’t have children of her own, her heart was full of love for her nieces and nephews, many of whom she raised as if they were her own. To some of us, she was not just an aunt, but a second mother.

She had a deep love for music, especially the songs of Bette Midler, with The Rose being one of her favorite films. Her unique sense of style was showcased through her impressive collection of shoes, each pair a reflection of her vibrant personality. She also had a sharp mind and an impressive talent for poker, often outplaying others while enjoying the game on her phone.

Her true beauty, however, lived in her heart. She was selfless and compassionate, always wearing her emotions openly and embracing others without judgement. Her understanding nature made her a safe place for those who needed comfort and a person who listened. Thoughtful and generous, she had a gift for giving---whether it was a carefully chosen present or simply her time and love. The beautifully written cards and text messages she left behind will be cherished mementos forever, capturing the depth of her heart. She gave her whole heart to everyone and in doing so, she created a legacy of love that will on in all of us. 

She left behind her brother William F. Lifite; sister Barbara L. Walters and nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own: Amber “Ladybug” Walters, Mariah Tajlynn “Funny Bunny” Wray, Timothy “Tee tee” Walters, Justin “Buttercup” Walters, Nina Lifite, Christie Lifite, Jennifer Lifite, Cheyenne Lifite, Nikolis Lifite and Corey Chiaro; friends: Kim Weldon, Julia Baskerville and Kalene Jensen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday September 20, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205.
