Susan Ann Baldoni

Susan Ann Baldoni, 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Born in Olean, NY, Susan was the daughter of the late Gino and Jane (Renehan) Baldoni.
Susan graduated high school from Otto-Eldred High School, received her bachelor's degree from Villa Maria College in Erie, PA and her master's degree in Community Services Administration from Alfred University.
She served as the Administrator of St. Joseph's Provincial House for many years before retiring in 2020. She was exceedingly fond of the sisters who live and work at the Provincial House as well as her many colleagues. Susan previously worked for over twenty years as the Executive Director of the Alfred Housing Committee, a nonprofit dedicated to rural economic development and the improvement of housing conditions for seniors, people with disabilities, and families with low-incomes. She also was an active volunteer – including her service on the Wellsville, NY Board of Education and in several capacities for the Allegany County Democratic Committee. Susan had a lifelong passion for politics, education, and improving the wellbeing of people in her community. During her life, she was an excellent but modest gardener and enjoyed reading, golfing, watching movies, and enjoying a laugh with her friends most of all.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Kate Szczerbacki and her brother, Stephen Baldoni. She will be dearly missed not only by her family but also by her many good friends she had gathered over her lifetime.
Funeral service will be private.
