Susan Costello

Schenectady- Susan Costello, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Julius and Carmella Sandora. A homemaker most of her life Susan's focus was her family. She enjoyed the Sunday dinners together, camping, trips to the casino, and most of all her children and grandchildren. Susan is predeceased by her beloved husband of 31 years Anthony Costello, and her ten brothers and sisters.
Susan is the devoted mother of Anthony J. Costello and his wife Julia of Schenectady and Michele Graffagnino and her husband Joseph of Schenectady. She is the cherished grandmother of Julie Steele, Michael Costello, Jennifer Bivins, Marc Bivins, and Shelly (Jeff) Barringer and great-grandmother of Brooke Lorenia Bivins, Nicole (Steven) Silver, Corey Barringer and Joshua, Jasmine and Dakota Costello.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Schenectady where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will be in St. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Susan Costello.
